I recently got NI Komplete7 and was looking for the guitar sound of Pink Floyd....and married it to a synth groove from Rapture to words I'd been working on dealing with rising sea levels...a serious and already happing consequence of climate change.

Emotional stories of where we are, what's at stake, and where we're headed... This IS the MOMENT people... when our species will either Stand UP... or perish...
I'm a fellow human on planet earth who feels music touches the soul... spirit... the emotional chord... deep within us. We are at a critical moment... The Nexus point... How we respond will determine whether we will continue

Story behind the song
Dr. Peter Ward was recently interviewed by Alex at Radio Ecoshock about his new book "The Flooded Earth" and I wrote some words for a song in preparation for the show. The night I began playing with Rapture and Guitar Rig 4 it all just came together in about 3 hours of self jamming... all except the slighly out of tune low E string!!! Oh well, still needs a bit of work but learning to use drums, which are sounding better and I really like the feel of this raw semi-spontaneous creation...
