The 'Maple Leaf Rag' (1899) is an early ragtime composition for piano by Scott Joplin. It was one of Joplin's early works, and is one of the most famous of all ragtime pieces, becoming the first instrumental piece to sell over one million copies.

It's just me, myself and I at this point. I write the songs, play the guitar, piano, banjo and mandolin and sing the songs. I don't have a very good singing voice; someday I hope to find a vocalist with whom I can collaborate. For now, I just enjoy having fun creating and playing music.

Story behind the song
I love ragtime music and this song is one of the best! I play banjo on this one and my brother in law (Dr. John Brett) is playing guitar.

I love ragtime too and this is a great rendition of the song "Maple Leaf Rag" I don't think I've ever heard it on a banjo before.
