Jamey Darnold is a singer/songwriter/guitarist/ solo act originally from the banks of the Mississippi river town of Burlington, Ia. He has released to his credit 13 full length albums that seamlessly meld country, blues, and folk styles spanning from 2004's "Burlington Bound.. a railroad town" to 2023's "The Running River". He is influenced by up and coming Americana artist such as "Jason Isbell" to the folk rock classics of "The Eagles", and Neil Young.
His strongest assets are in the singing and songwriting styles portrayed. Life's lessons endured by what makes the American dream real. The byproducts from growing up in rural Iowa and then leaving... to experience life without boundary's on America's endless trail of concrete. Now residing in rural Kane county Illinois and armed with only guitar and harmonica. He can hold audiences "young and old" and will invite you to listen, enjoy, and to reflect on all His multi-generational/ genre music styles.

Nice laid back delivery on this song. Great topic. Americans have always it seemed the great spirit to get up shake off the dirt and move on to a better world. Seems like now they are stuck in the mud with one side unwilling to bend at all, wanting to go back to a world 300 years ago, and the other side trying to make sense of that. The concept of a 100 fingers great, we once had a Prime Minister up here who gave
the press and the other side the finger. But that was from another time wasnt it when we had men running the country.

Seldom does a melody tug at the spirit like this one does... it's just that, I don't have any better way to describe a melody as grand as this one!!!!!!!! The lyrics for the subject......... AWESOME!!!!!!!!! Man, oh man, does this song say it all, so purely, simply & to the point.....I am still in awe.....it still sounds fresh as the first time that I had heard it!!!!!!!! Superb in every detail!!!!!!!!

Jamey, this song is a GEM!! I can't quit listening to this song, i'm in love with it. Such a beautiful melody and lyrics....love both of the guitars they way you are playing and mixing it....like the electric one the most.
