Story behind the song
Believe it or not, I recorded this all on my epic keyboard after only hitting a single note--C4 (a.k.a. Middle C)--and holding the sustain pedal whilst my paws worked the effects knobs, joystick, and ribbon. Everything you hear is a result of those effects, played on a patch appropriately named "One Note Stories" on my Korg Triton Extreme. The almost melodic-sounding voice heard starting at 1:28 was controlled with the knobs on a very fine adjustment, so I didn't always get the precise pitches I wanted; its required precision reminds me of trying to play a theramin. Anyways, I hope you enjoy this delve into something very much outside my norm. The title comes from the image I get from listening to it of how images are refracted through water.
