I write children's music...(both Christian and positive values music) but in 2009 my writing focus changed and much of my writing is about the coming Kingdom of God . I also write other inspirational faith-based songs. Have relesed a few more cds and will be adding more songs. 2020 - Kingdom Road for Kids CD 2016 - Songs of Hope for a Hurting World CD 2011 - November, Kingdom Road Released. It is a great honor and blessing to release this CD. 18 original songs with the central theme of the cd being Jesus Christ and the coming Kingdom of God. 2009...I Want To Run Beneath The Raindrops, Inspirational Lyric was a finalist in the JPF Music Awards in Nashville. 2009...Miss Willow's Fence Row (Griffith/Willow) is a 2009 Children's Album Nominee in the Just Plain Folks Music Awards. Produced by James Coffey, Blue Vision Music. Some Day Some Way is a 2009 Children's Song Nominee in the Just Plain Folks Music Awards. Produced by James Coffey, Blue Vision Music. Vocals by Amy Moser. In 2008, Miss Willow's Fence Row (Griffith/Willow) received a Parents' Choice Award. In 2007, the song, "Love You More" lyrics...by William Cooper...Melody by Kaley Willow was a finalist in the Music City Songwriting Competition. In 2006, "Looking Back, How It All Began" short story from Miss Willow's Fence Row Collection was published by"The Pennsylvania Reader". Snowflake was published by Piano Press. ...Several songs from "Andy & Friends are now being played on Children's Radio.... ...Elementary Schools and Dance Classes are using several children's songs. In 2004, The Goodnight Song was published in the Children's Songbook, Music Box and Other Delights, Piano Press Publishing, Elizabeth Axford, CA. Griffith/Willow signed a 12-song contract with Atlanta Music Group (AMG), Atlanta on the CD Andy & Friends. Dancin' Down Under was included on Blue Vision Children's Music Vocal Sampler CD. I am very thankful to God for giving me this gift of writing. It is a privilege. Story behind the song
My Mom used to write a lot of poetry...along with short stories. When her eyes deteriorated with Macular Degeneration, she stopped writing because it was too difficult. This past fall, She felt the strong desire to write again... using the flashlight... That was until this morning...when I heard a rare tone to her voice...(frustration)... She had gotten up during the night....and wrote...but couldn't read it.... After thinking a bit...I called her back...and she is going to try working out words on a hand-held cassette player. This song was My Mom's idea and title.......What happens when The North Wind meets a little white wave... She has so much more she wants to do in her life..... I thank God ....He has given me such an incredible Mom........ I hope we get to write more songs together. Thank you Mom...... Love, Donna
