Hello And welcome! You have surfed to the Music Pages of TweakHeadz Lab. Come on in! Sit back and relax, light a candle. You'll hear a wide range of styles, colors, moods, and unusual experimental mixes. I write what I feel like writing, invent and re-invent objects of sound in the process. To me, music is an invention. A play of elements in time.

Story behind the song
This is a collaboration between Christina and I. This is a personal song she has been working on for a while. I put it in the context of acoustic guitar in the keys of Em and Am. There is another version of the song that is just voice and guitar on Christina's MySpace page. For this version I added drums, bass, strings and a bell tone. And tweaked it hard. While it is a simple song, there were thousands of operations performed on it. Christina writes: I wrote I Don't Care Anymore at a time of my life when I was going thru alot of changes. Many people had turned their backs on me. They didn't understand what I was coming from and where I wanted to go. Their rude comments were getting to me...And then finally one day...I snapped. I realized that I cant make everyone else happy. I need to do what I set out to do and make myself happy. And thats what I did! I began to write the lyrics about a year ago...and made many changes as the year went on. It was originally intended for another beat, but after recording it in the studio I just didnt think the song had enough emotion behind it. Finally I met Rich. And after finding out he could play the guitar, and after only two nights of playing it together, we came out with the arrangement that were using now. And the rest is history. Rich's Technical Notes: Christina's signal path: The mic a Neumann TLM 103 going through a Great River ME1-NV preamp, and a Lucid AD9624 converter. The Acoustic Guitar is my Vintage Romance Classical through a Shure SM81 to a FMR RNP to the Lucid AD9624. We recorded simultaneously to maximize the energy, at the expense of track bleed. Using this method makes it tricky to add tracks later, but I did. The bell tone is out of my V-Synth GT. The strings are a hybrid between my Peter Siedleczek classic strings, and the synthy strings in Atmosphere. The bass is the standup bass in Trilogy. Cymbals were out of Stormdrum. The drum kit out of GarageBand. Everything was recorded in Logic pro 8. I used the LA2a (UAD-1) on her voice. The UAD Precision Limiter was on the tail, at a conservative setting. Thanks to those who gave feedback on this song at the studio-central song review forum.

Excellent production. The instruments are introduced perfectly in the mix after the guitar/vocal intro. Everything sounds crystal clear and the vocal is flawless. The rhythm and melody is locked tightly together giving the vocal lots of punch and emotion. Great job!
