Spirits of the South is just me at the moment, I was inspired by hearing old American Blues, Folk, & Country, Roots music they call it. I wanted to try & keep it all acoustic guitar ( as much as I could) & I wanted to pay a tribute in a way to these people who shaped Americas Music.

Lyrics
Spirits of the South - Where Evil Grows Out in the woods there is a place where no one goes They say the ghost out there will steal your very soul One fateful night I wandered lost & all alone I came upon a shack that was made from human bones I felt the Prescence Of a hundred angry souls Out in the Darkness Theres a place where evil grows I heard the voices talkin all around my head Out in the moonlight I saw spirits of the Dead As they approached I felt a coldness all around I tried to speak but I just could not make a Sound I felt the Prescence Of a hundred angry souls Out in the Darkness Theres a place where evil grows I never did Believe Till I saw it with my Eyes Somethings you can't explain Now I'm prayin for the sun Rise So now I warn you if your ever out this Way If you wanna keep your Soul just turn & Run away The devils waitin for you just outside of town I wish I could escape this Godforsaken ground I felt the Prescence Of a hundred angry souls Out in the Darkness Theres a place where evil grows Music & Lyrics written by ian powell copyright Mule Kick Surgery Music 2008

This song really rocks! :) Love your style, your voice reminds me alot of the singer from Alice in Chains....Alice in Chains gone Alt county, very awesome guitar, great story in the song, beginning of it spoken really freaked me out, listening late at nite in the dark and all, ha! Very cool song, great production, 5 stars all the way, and have to add this to my station. Keep on rockin! ~strummergurl~
