Hi, I've been writing songs since I was twelve years old, and recording them since 1985. Roger Cook (of the Cook-Greenaway-Cook songwriting partnership and Blue Mink, etc) once wrote that I have the ability to write a hit single and that he was waiting for one from me. He also said I need to 'lighten up a bit', unquote. F*ck that!

Story behind the song
The backing track for this tune had been kicking around since 1999 or thereabouts, and I had no idea at all what to sing about. Then the ghost story idea came to me after a series of nightmares I had over a six-month period a year or so ago. The nightmares stopped after I ran up to a dragon in a dream and put a collar and lead on it. As soon as I woke up, I knew it was the last time I would dream of scary monsters, and I was right because they haven't featured in my dreams since then.
