Lyrics
Just learned an old friend who lived just down the street Passed away suddenly after a long courageous battle. But still our hearts never miss a beat, They go on no matter what we seek. Time, time marches on and on. It leaves nothing behind, Not even a broken heart. There's no end – only everlasting beginnings. No start no finish – a game played without score. And still our hearts never miss a beat, They go on no matter where we seek. Time, time marches on and on. It leaves nothing behind, Not even a broken heart. Eventually the time runs out on each of us. No one wants to hear the word “goodbye”. And time cannot be bought for any amount of price, So live each day as if it were your last. Time, time marches on and on. It leaves nothing behind, Not even a broken heart. Time, time marches on and on. Copyright © 2017; Bob Forbes

I like the way you have put a positive spin on a melancholy subject, it gives us plenty to think about and reminds us to enjoy and appreciate what we have. Beautifully written and composed, and the vocals are stunning as always.

Oh, I have missed your new song, Bob! I liked it a lot since it has been done in your original "brand" manner which is so pleasing to my ear due to its light, sentimental and kind mood, but! - at the same time in conjunction with a serious and even wise content of the text. Soft and beautiful vocal line with an appropriate nice accompaniment - there is harmonious picture here and I can easily feel it...

Oh, this is really beautiful, Bob! It is so good that you found inspiration to write new songs. Your vocals shine on this one. Vulnerable, but still insisting to tell the story. The harmonies make me think of The Eagles, well actually the whole song would fit perfectly into one of their set lists. The lyrics deal with the thoughts of life and death, that we all can relate to. Hearing about the death of an old friend, reminds you that you are not immortal and your turn could be next. Live live to the fullest, you say. I think we are blessed to have our music to express that. This one sure was a great treat!

Such a beautiful "Yes" to Life, Bobo... I love the pianoesque reminiscence to a certain classic pop ballad, I think, we once were even busy with a remake of it ;-) For me, personally... you are talking to me in your song. Thank you for that, my friend...
