Great way to interpret blues. Really fun song with all the "funk" I'm used to (and have come to expect) from you Al, but with a folksy/bluesy face on it. :)
Bouncin right along to it (as I should - it's definitely a keeper!).
Love this Al!

I love the fusion of the old time slide tone with drum machine beats and funky bass guitar - very tasty playing all round - A real pleasure to listen to

ha HA! I love it! I like how you creep some jazzy sound chords on the piano in there to make this thing go all herbie hancock. weaver..hmm..I missed him.. I love Blind Willie Johnson though.
this is one of my favs

Spin names it appropriately "Mississippi Stomp Down House Blues" ,awesome technique you have here, beautiful sound, love the straight chord progression on the piano which gives the slide the ultimate lead ,awesome!!!

Love that slide guitar - wonderful sound! Superb upbeat vibe to this track, it creates a nice positive feeling. The music captures the attention right from the first few notes and invites you to roll along with it - excellent stuff!

Mixed.
Good old times Blues, moving more and more to modern times. I feel it is changing all the time and there are slipping in more and more modern elements. The electric, funky bass, for example. The piano and the brass sound more modern too and you have got that groove here, like a train moving forward.
This is something different from you, but on the other hand I recognize your bass, your groove and your funk. Different genres mixed in a kind of Blues Fusion. Different times mixed too, from the fifties until nowadays.
Nice experiment, Al. Something new.

Instantly familiar but with such a fresh angle to it. This really brought a smile to my face. Muddy swamp blues meets slick city jazz. A true original, and toe tappin' fun.

What!?! yust like that you take a resonator and do a blues-piece authentical to the oldtimers of slideguitarplaying and on top of that you genre-crossing it with jazzy elements with piano and brass. And the slapbass is a superb addition in all this.
I love every millisecond of this one my friend.
Fantastic work!

And I feel good as well now.....!! WOW :)
Never thought you would bring a "Mississippi Stomp Down House Blues Resonator Slide Tune" out.... but WOW, you did!
Congrats my friend for the excellent arrangement and originality, it really suprised me: did you used a resonator guitar? I remember Derek Trucks played an acoustic with glas slide (bottleneck) and sounded similar to your magic hot guitar tones here!!! :)
Loved the riffs like at 0:30-0:37 and at 2:20-2:30! Man, what a cool thing!!
Elegant the inserts of some jazzy piano chords and brass spots ( really difficult to melt them in such a song context in my opinion ), unique and absolutely haunting song Al, once again my hat off to you!! Bravo, Bravo!!!
Cool stuff, like it! Keep up the good work Al! Greetings from Sweden, Svante / Clubsville
