Strange music for strange people.
Dollar Bill and The Unmentionables has been recording slightly silly music since 1989. In 2010 we started making videos to stare at while the song plays. Genre: varies, sometimes within the same song even. Be sure to check out the video page, as many of the songs have super high-budget (i.e. $0) music videos

What a tour de force in musical ideas. So many rhythms and instruments changing places and creating a hectic, haunted atmosphere. This really has something of that falling into the deep effect that you experience when falling asleep. SUperb work!

Interesting work, keeping the main theme engaged all over the track but with the clever use of additional instruments and percussion patterns one get the chance to set some spots/colors to evoke pictures in the mind. Just like one is dreaming and don´t know if " asleep or awake ". The repetitive base is a fantastic (hypnotic) ground to experiment with sounds and or rythm, you did it really good!! Fine track Bill, original as always coming from you! :)

Crazy brilliant idea that fades away like a dream does once you've woken. A perfect title, or perhaps a perfect tune for the title ... zzzzzzzzzz ....... what was I saying ?

splendid induction of a hypnagogic state of consciousness as the heartbeat invades the subterranean levels of the disarmed mind :)
translation.. nice work!

Great composition! A very realistic peep into the subconscious mind and all that happens in there. Love the way you've managed to capture the idea that although asleep, there is a lot of activity and stories unfolding. Fantastic production and superb sound!

Love the intro, your guitar engenders a kind of sleep walking feel to it. Sensational breakbeat working on this track. The bass line is produced to perfection. How do you come up with these interesting song titles??? Outstanding as usual Bill.

Exactly what the title says, at the start.
The theme continues, but more rough and faster.
Becoming more like a nightmare. Or an action thriller, where you have to run for your life.
Nice theme, very clear. And I enjoyed that reverse played piano (sample) too. Everything sounds very spontaneous, like you made it in five minutes. And, this time I don't have the feeling it's too short.
I can imagine this like a soundtrack at the start of a detective.
Good job, Bill!

Wow! Some nice Aural imagery!! The best time for dreaming up composition is during dreams.

Half asleep... that pretty much sums up my night time (and some of my daytime) ;) Love the far away reverb on the guitar - and the high energy rhythm goes in well. Good mix db - I agree with Alan on leaving it be - at least in it's instrumental form.

It's awesome $Bill. Nice ringing guitar work. Very nice keys/synth. Great driving rhythm track. I'd leave it as is. I usually screw up my tracks when I try to mess with them. There is something about mysticism, inspiration and creativity that doesn't always lend itself to analytical tweaking. I used to dream guitar parts and solos, but alas no more. "Half Asleep", unleashed psychic peering into the void - awesome.
Yeah. Loves me a musician on a most likely penniless journey through any and all kinds of styles and clearly you're no stranger to this. I'd really be curious what you could do with a 4-6 song collection in this relative vein - make a solid ep of it. Superb track senor.
