Story behind the song
Created for the totally time-tastic 57th CBC time travel challenge, September 2013, this is loosely based on some corny chat-up lines that never worked. Allegedly.

WOW, SETH, WHAT SUPER GREAT ALTERNATIVE/POWER POP. Your lyrics are so expressive of the Time Traveler theme. And your hot love vocal is World Class with clear diction (unusual with most Rock vocals). As always, your musicianship is of the highest professional standards. Further, the recording quality is studio pro A+...... This was an impressive music contribution for the 2013 September Time Travel Song Challenge. In short, I love this song, and thank you for the listening enjoyment as well as the dl for future "The Smivets" Rockin' Time Travel.

I like this Pop-Rock style of the 70s. It feels like going back in time. I can't figure out what exactly you are singing, but I will look on your song page for lyrics. Have been looking and there are lyrics, so now I'm going to listen while reading. Good job!

As always Steve, a proper modern classic, only this time one molded in the past and future simultaneously! I can't work out which era you created this in but it covers every epoch that we ever existed in. Another Smivert symphony of sound, those slinky synth sounds are just so superb. My "s" on the keyboard is about to pop out! ;) Nice one indeed my friend :)

Woah, this is a head-on rocker. Great powerful sound right from the kick-off. The lyrics are very good . . . as usual. This is awesome. This has 'hit' written large all over it. This is so radio friendly. . .but they don't play songs as good as this on the radio ! heck, I wish I could do this kind of thing. Steve, get a band together and come to my local, you'd pack the place out.

What a complete package, great sound, vocals and to top it off, some brilliant writing. The lyrics have me alternately laughing and just Wowing at the word play. Where were you when I was younger and needed a pick up line such as this song contains? I think the best in the challenge.

Killer sound you got going here Seth - from the guitars to the synths to the vocals - first class all the way. Reminds me some of one of my fav early 80s groups "The Cars". Absolutely flawless production!!

Great riffs, retro synth magic, 1.st class all the way. A timeless rock classic! Makes me think of Bowie in his space travelling period.
